On March 31, with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the framework of the activities of the Russian Trilateral Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations, the signing ceremony of the general agreement for 2021-2023 was held. This framework document defines the main areas of interaction between the Government of the Russian Federation, employers and employees and is an important step towards the development of civilized social partnership. The agreement affects the interests of more than 70 million citizens who work in all sectors of the country’s economy and social sphere.
At the signing ceremony, held in the video conference format, President of ASIZ Vladimir Kotov took part as an invited guest.
The 5th section of the General Agreement is devoted entirely to labor protection, industrial and environmental safety.
One of the most important for the ASIZ was paragraph 5.18: In order to improve the level of ensuring safe working conditions, support the holding of international exhibition events (in particular, the exhibition «Safety and Labor Protection»).
This once again emphasizes the relevance and importance of the agenda of reducing injuries and accidents at work, preserving the health and life of the working person, creating working conditions that meet the highest world standards.
The exhibition «Safety and Labor Protection,» organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the ASIZ, over 25 years of its history has become the largest and key industry event of the international level. It represents the most modern and advanced solutions in the field of the production of personal protective equipment, safety at work.
In 2019, BIOT was visited by more than twenty thousand specialists and professionals in the PPE and labor protection industry from 45 countries. 450 companies from 23 countries presented here more than 100 thousand products, goods and services. The total area of the exhibition was 16.5 thousand square meters.
In 2020, in connection with the spread of COVID-19, the forum was held for the first time in an online format and brought together 46,700 participants from 35 countries, including the USA, Great Britain, China, India, Germany, France, Ukraine, Italy, Turkey, etc. In total, more than 170 events took place within the framework of BIOT-2020.
The BIOT Forum is traditionally a meeting place for business leaders, top managers of major enterprises and industrial holdings, as well as an authoritative platform for discussing business and production processes.
